Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and techniques
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and assemble an estimate
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Positive attitude, team player, and fun to be around
• Sets high goals and works hard to achieve them
• Ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a way that helps the entire team succeed
• Skilled in listening, assessing issues, and has the ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to participate in multiple projects while staying organized and complying with deadlines

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain subcontractor relations
• Assist with developing preliminary construction schedules
• Solicit bids with assistance of PM or other bid team members
• Prepare bid documents, bid form, bid bond, etc.
• Set up and maintain bid files
• Prepare subcontractor scope sheets
• Work directly with PM assigned to the bid
• Monitor the marketplace for bid opportunities
• Communicate bid opportunities to management team
• Perform quantity surveys
• Develop company-specific estimate reports
• Develop bid evaluation system
• Develop and maintain bid qualification system
