General Superintendent | Steel Erection | Relocate

Our client's rapidly growing and well-established steel erection company is looking for an experienced General Superintendent to relocate to Nashville, TN. This organization builds structural steel frames for single-story, multi-story, mixed-use commercial and warehouse spaces. The General Superintendent is responsible for the overall functions of the team from the initial bid to the final walk-through.

General Superintendent Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Managers, Safety Director and Director of Operations to control and manage personnel, subs, schedules, budgets, and equipment, from pre-construction through final inspection and delivery
• Ensure the accuracy of bid packages, scope of work, estimates, schedules, and documents
• Monitor construction for quality of work, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining costs and schedule– this is a "boots on the ground" role, managing the day-to-day operations of projects
• Validate invoices for labor and materials for payment
• Communicate and maintain good relationships with vendors, building officials, engineers, architects, sub-contractors, and customers

General Superintendent Requirements:

• Excellent computer skills
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Ability and desire to relocate to Nashville, TN
• 3-5 years of related General Superintendent experience, steel erection preferred
• College Degree in Construction Management preferred
