Catering Manager – Austin, TX

Catering Manager Benefits & Compensation

Catering Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Catering, events, restaurant management, or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable with both sales and operations responsibilities
  • Hands-on, team-focused leadership style
  • Ability to work mornings, some evenings, and occasional weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Catering Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience coordinating catering sales or on-site events
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic setting

Catering Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Catering with inbound catering inquiries and relationship management
  • Provide menu guidance, pricing information, and order recommendations to guests
  • Accurately enter and manage catering orders; coordinate prep, portioning, and packaging
  • Oversee catering setup standards, presentation, and on-site execution
  • Support delivery drivers and catering staff with logistics and scheduling
  • Track sales, commissions, and recurring business; assist with invoicing and payment collection
  • Communicate and collaborate with kitchen, restaurant, and delivery teams to maintain high service standards
