Civil Engineering Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience in land development.
- Experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, with leadership background preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Civil Engineering Manager – Preferred Background & Skills
- Background in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong business development and networking abilities.
- Experience managing group operations and financial performance.
Civil Engineering Manager – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Drive business development efforts, regularly networking to attract new projects and expand the firm’s DC presence.
- Prepare and review proposals, contracts, revenue projections, and business reports for civil engineering projects.
- Oversee select land development projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Lead group operations, including team training, mentorship, and hiring.
- Attend hearings, planning meetings, and relevant industry events to position the group for continued success.
