Lead Accountant Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial trends
- Solid bookkeeping skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems, including QuickBooks and SAP
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions
Lead Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Reconcile cost of sales for food, beverage, and labor across multiple restaurant locations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare period-end, store-level financial reporting including balance sheets and income statements
- Conduct variance analysis to support financial reviews
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy
- Oversee payroll reporting and ensure multi-unit tax and tip compliance
