Business Development Manager Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales or business development experience required; 5+ years strongly preferred
  • Luxury hospitality, travel, relocation, corporate housing, multifamily, or related industry experience highly preferred
  • Proven ability to generate leads, prospect independently, and close new corporate accounts
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals and performance metrics
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Skilled at overcoming objections and navigating complex sales conversations
  • Self-motivated with a strong “hunter” mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to service
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing CRM systems and sales tools; experience with ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and/or Zendesk Sell is a plus
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to adapt to changing business and client needs
  • Reliable transportation required for daily networking events, client meetings, and sales appointments

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

  • Prospect heavily daily and manage a designated geographic territory to uncover new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with relocation consultants, HR professionals, executive assistants, global mobility contacts, and other key decision-makers
  • Conduct guided tours of luxury furnished apartment communities and showcase hospitality-driven services and amenities
  • Promote flexible-stay housing solutions across industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, finance, insurance, retail, entertainment, and sports
  • Develop and expand existing corporate relationships to increase account growth and referrals
  • Track outreach efforts, pipeline activity, and sales progress through CRM reporting and communication with leadership
  • Achieve and exceed individual and community sales goals
  • Collaborate closely with on-site teams and leadership to ensure an exceptional experience for prospects, partners, clients, and residents
  • Represent the brand professionally within the local business community through networking and relationship-building initiatives
