Director of Food and Beverage – Flushing/Queens, NY

As Director of Food and Beverage, you’ll lead vibrant operations across modern dining concepts, a banquet hall, and lively outdoor spaces. Director of Food and Beverage Requirements & Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in food & beverage leadership roles within high-end hotels, resorts, boutique hotels preferred
  • Proven track record overseeing restaurants, bars, and banquet operations
  • Pre-opening and grand opening experience preferred
  • Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and NYC health regulations
  • Effective communicator and team builder with a hands-on leadership style
  • Fluent in Mandarin or additional Chinese dialects is REQUIRED

Director of Food and Beverage Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with POS systems (such as Toast POS) and related reporting tools
  • Passion for innovative, market-driven menus (Modern Asian/American focus)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Director of Food and Beverage Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead all pre-opening initiatives, including concept development, SOPs, and team recruitment
  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations across restaurants, banquet spaces, and terraces
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design, launch, and evolve unique menus
  • Manage budgets, control labor and cost of goods, and drive revenue and profitability
  • Ensure consistently high standards of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction
  • Build, train, and develop a high-performing team committed to excellence
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
