Purchasing Coordinator – Inventory & Supplies (On-Site) | Dayton, OH

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support day-to-day purchasing and inventory operations for a growing industrial company in Dayton, OH.

This role focuses on ordering office and shop supplies, monitoring inventory levels, comparing vendor pricing, and supporting engineering and operations teams with project-related materials.

This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with vendors, and keeping operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Order and track office supplies, shop supplies, and consumables
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed
• Compare vendor pricing, availability, and lead times
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to source materials for projects
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain accurate purchasing records in the ERP system
• Support day-to-day operational needs across multiple departments
• Assist with organizing and improving purchasing and inventory processes

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or a coordinator role
• Experience ordering supplies, materials, or consumables
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working with multiple vendors and tracking orders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with an ERP or purchasing system (Great Plains is a plus)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and reorder processes
• Experience supporting project teams or engineers with purchasing needs
