Assistant Store Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership, supervisor, or assistant manager experience
• Strong customer service mindset with proven ability to lead by example
• Experience managing sales goals, staffing, and daily store operations
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable

Must Haves

• Support daily opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and store readiness
• Drive sales through team coaching, upselling, and guest relationship building
• Maintain merchandising standards, inventory flow, and product presentation
• Assist in training new hires and developing a high-energy service culture

Assistant Store Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Background in pet retail, grooming, veterinary, or animal-related services
