Our team is expanding and we are seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-performing outside sales team within a complex, consultative industrial environment. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role for someone who thrives on building business from the ground up, solving operational problems, and closing high-value, custom solutions. Sales Manager – Industrial Automation & Custom Equipment Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–10 outside sales professionals within a defined regional territory
  • Personally prospect, open, and close new business through cold, in-person outreach and on-site discovery
  • Partner with customers to understand operations and position custom, engineered solutions
  • Participate directly in solution development, presentations, and complex financial negotiations
  • Manage long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Set expectations for activity, pipeline management, and sales execution through example

Sales Manager – Industrial Automation & Custom Equipment Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in complex B2B sales, preferably within industrial, automation, or technical environments
  • Proven success selling non-commoditized, custom or engineered solutions with long sales cycles
  • Strong hunter mentality with comfort in cold calling and face-to-face prospecting
  • Demonstrated leadership or player-coach experience
  • Solid business and financial acumen with negotiation experience
  • Willingness to work in-office, travel locally, and overnight approximately 15% of the time
