If you're the machinist everyone turns to when a setup isn't running quite right, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. A growing precision manufacturer is adding an experienced Mill Machinist to its team. This is a hands-on role focused on machining precision components, performing complete machine setups, troubleshooting production issues, and producing high-quality parts in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.
You'll work with advanced vertical and horizontal machining centers on a variety of precision components where quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship matter every day.
Mill Machinist Benefits and Compensation:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday
- 2:45 PM – 12:45 AM
- $24–$39/hour depending on experience
- Additional $2/hour shift differential
- Four 10-hour shifts with three-day weekends

CNC Mill Machinist Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience performing complete machine setups and prove-outs on CNC mills
- Background with vertical machining centers (VMC), horizontal machining centers (HMC), or multi-axis CNC mills
- Ability to make offsets, tooling adjustments, and program edits at the machine
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances
- Proficiency using precision inspection equipment
- Understanding of tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds
- Valid driver's license
Must Haves:
- Perform complete machine setups and changeovers
- Optimize tooling, offsets, and machining parameters
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Maintain production and quality documentation
- Support preventative machine maintenance
- Maintain an organized, safety-focused work area
- Contribute to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts
Mill Machinist Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments
- Medical device, aerospace, or other precision machining background
- Familiarity with JobBOSS, Epicor, or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to Mastercam or Esprit
- Experience operating multiple CNC machining centers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train or mentor other machinists
