Restaurant General Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Full-Service General Manager experience in a high-volume, systems-oriented, upscale-casual or casual environment
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with an ownership mentality
- Strong leadership ability, flexibility, adaptability, and maturity to lead a large team
- Build respectful relationships with every member while holding them accountable – integrity is essential
- Manage high standards while paying attention to every detail
- A sincere passion for hospitality and creating an impeccable guest experience
- Highly skilled at financials, P&L, and managing food, labor, and operational costs
- Ability to manage all cost control centers and build sales through proper training and follow-through
- Proven ability to hire and grow strong teams, maintain high retention rates, and build bench strength
- High level of integrity, accountability, and emotional intelligence
