Director of Finance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• BS Accounting or CPA
• Commercial or Multi-Family Real Estate experience
• Solid background/experience in third party Auditing (either side), Expertise in auditing standards
• experience in a Controller role or similar financial management position.
• Strong GAAP accounting and reporting including month end close
• Experience implementing improvements to policies, procedures and internal controls
• Experience in Budget development, analysis and monitoring
• strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial statements reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a public company

2) SEC reporting or exposure
3) IFRS reporting
4) Real Estate acquisition analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversight of AR, AP and payroll
• Produce Quarterly internal reporting, provide all data for semiannual audited reports and tax reporting
• Budget preparation, maintenance, and analysis. Ongoing monitoring vs actual
• Payment approvals
• Cash & liquidity planning and management
• ensuring accurate bank reconciliation, accurate and complete journal entries and classifications
• Assess and implement improvements to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls, better utilizing resources via technology
• maximize use of current software, optimize processes through the use of technology
• Oversee administration of transactions (acquisition, sales and refinance
• Liaise with third party for Audit and Tax compliance
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial statements reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a public company
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversight of IT – policies and execution ( third party consultant)
• Oversight and maintenance of company’s data depository of legal/financial documents
• Assist with reviewing potential acquisitions and ROI / Performance analysis on existing properties
• Record acquisition and refining closings
• Bank compliance for loans and financing including insurance coverage
• Provide strategic advice
Traits:
• Someone who is hands on
• Not a 9-5 type persona
• Has been and or able to be strategic, i.e. can provide advice on investments and review potential acquisitions
• The HM ( Asset Manager) wants someone to handle the accounting and be his right-hand person when looking at potential acquisitions and ROI on existing properties. They want someone who is ambitious and excited to contribute to the growth of the company.
• Strong ERP systems experience as this person will be tasked with
• Utilizing their software’s potential as they have some manual procedures to streamline ,
• Identify ways to utilize technology e.g. AI applications to improve efficiency where possible
