Pediatrician (MD/DO) | Chicago, IL

Overview

A well-established, mission-driven community health organization in Chicago is seeking a Pediatrician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and families. This role is designed for a full-time provider, though part-time candidates may also be considered.

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an FQHC Look-Alike setting through in-person visits and telehealth
• Conduct well-child visits, immunizations, developmental screenings, and acute care visits
• Diagnose and manage pediatric illnesses, chronic conditions, and behavioral health concerns
• Participate in a shared 24-hour call rotation with other providers
• Review lab results, referrals, and emergency room discharges, ensuring appropriate follow-up
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, behavioral health, dental, and specialty providers
• Support education of patients, residents, medical students, and staff as appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a continuous improvement mindset
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR)
• Engage in community outreach activities as needed
• Ensure compliance with FQHC regulatory requirements and applicable funding/grant guidelines

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Current NPI and DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (PALS preferred)
• Experience or strong interest in community health and underserved populations
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (eCW experience preferred)
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (medical, dental, behavioral health, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Spanish language proficiency preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $160,000 – $215,000 based on experience
