Luxury Resort Restaurant General Manager – Monterery, CA

Luxury Resort Restaurant Manager Benefits & Compensation

Competitive salary range ($80,000–$110,000) plus bonus program

Luxury Resort Restaurant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, ideally in a 4- or 5-star resort
Strong knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and beverage operations
Excellent leadership, organizational, and guest-service skills
TIPS certification required
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems
Stable work history (no more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years)
High-volume experience (385+ daily covers)

Luxury Resort Restaurant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Experience managing union employees
Luxury Hotel experience is preferred
Outstanding interpersonal skills and composure in challenging situations
Thick Skin – abiltiy to hold team accountable

Luxury Resort Restaurant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead and actively participate in daily restaurant operations while ensuring five-star service standards
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff to promote growth and exceptional performance
Manage labor, operating, food, and beverage costs; oversee payroll and inventory control
Resolve guest concerns and requests professionally to maintain high satisfaction
Collaborate with other resort departments to meet VIP, group, and event needs
Ensure ongoing service training and compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintenance, and equipment quality
