Restaurant Floor Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Four-year bachelor’s degree (any major) or two-year culinary associate’s degree required
1–2 years of restaurant experience with supervisory exposure preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Basic knowledge of food safety and customer service principles
Must be able to with the company's drug free environment policies

Restaurant Floor Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Previous experience in a full-service restaurant environment (lead server, supervisor, or assistant manager)
Experience in high-volume, elevated dining operations
Strong problem-solving and team-building abilities
Experience with staff scheduling and performance evaluation
Passion for providing outstanding guest experiences

Restaurant Floor Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee dining room operations to ensure smooth service and memorable guest experiences
Lead, train, and motivate team members to uphold company standards
Monitor workflow and collaborate to address service issues quickly
Support the development and evaluation of front-of-house staff
Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and organizational policies
Foster a welcoming, positive atmosphere for both guests and staff
