Event Planning Assistant Benefits & Compensation:
- $22.60–$25.00 per hour (equivalent to $47,000–$52,000 annually), commensurate with experience

Event Planning Assistant Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required
- 2+ years of experience in event operations, project management, logistics, or related fields
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-stakeholder events or campaigns
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity coordinating with vendors, partners, and internal teams
- Proficiency with project management tools and shared documentation platforms
Event Planning Assistant Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience working with nonprofit, foundation, or philanthropic organizations
- Familiarity with large civic events, fundraising campaigns, or community activations
- Bilingual fluency is a plus
- Experience managing complex run-of-show documents and on-site event logistics
- Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Event Planning Assistant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for Give Miami Day and other major events
- Coordinate planning meetings, track milestones, and ensure alignment across teams
- Oversee event logistics such as load-in/out schedules, equipment, signage, staffing, and on-site support
- Support permitting, compliance, safety planning, and risk management processes
- Facilitate information flow and collaboration across internal teams, vendors, and partners
- Provide on-site leadership and problem-solving during live events, ensuring operational excellence
