Maintenance Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial setting
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Must provide your own basic mechanic tools (specialty tools are supplied)
Experience servicing mobile and large stationary equipment
Exposure to basic machining operations and equipment repair
Welding and fabrication abilities

Maintenance Mechanic Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and boost performance
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from production teams
Collaborate with team members to solve maintenance challenges and support plant operations
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Follow all safety procedures and regulatory protocols
