Bridge Construction Engineer | Heavy Civil & DOT Projects
Louisville, KY | $140K–$175K + Relocation Assistance
A respected heavy civil contractor is expanding its project team and is seeking a Bridge Construction Engineer to support a strong backlog of DOT bridge and infrastructure work across Kentucky and the Midwest.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, estimating, and project execution, offering long-term stability, strong compensation, and hands-on involvement in meaningful public infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting bridge construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Reviewing plans, quantities, and specifications
- Assisting with estimating, budgeting, and project setup
- Partnering with field leadership to ensure constructability and cost control
- Supporting documentation, billing, and change management
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience on bridge or heavy civil construction projects
- DOT or public infrastructure exposure
- Strong construction knowledge (not consulting/design-only)
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management background
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid / HeavyJob is a plus
