Senior Family Law Attorney Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active New Jersey Bar or New York Bar admission, in good standing
  • 8+ years of experience practicing Family Law
  • Proven trial experience
  • Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and ethical conduct in sensitive Family Law matters
  • Excellent negotiation and litigation skills
  • Portable book of business preferred

Must Haves:

  • Independently manage a full caseload of Family Law matters
  • Provide representation in divorce, custody, support, and domestic violence cases
  • Draft, analyze, and negotiate Family Law documents and agreements
  • Represent clients in hearings and settlement negotiations
  • Supervise and delegate work to paralegal support staff
  • Maintain proactive, empathetic communication with clients
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented firm culture

Senior Family Law Attorney – Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience in Estate Planning a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • High emotional intelligence and client empathy
  • Interest in growing within a collaborative, remote legal team
