Sales Development Representative Requirements & Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of outbound sales or business development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in high-activity, metric-driven environments
  • Strong cold-calling mentality and resilience in the face of rejection
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Relentless work ethic, sense of urgency, and high coachability
  • Desire to build a long-term, rewarding sales career

Sales Development Representative Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in staffing or recruiting sales, telecom, merchant services, copier or uniform sales, SaaS SDR/BDR roles, door-to-door, or field sales
  • Background as a recent competitive graduate, former college athlete, or fraternity/sorority leader
  • High-volume B2B prospecting experience

Sales Development Representative Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting and cold calling to generate new business opportunities
  • Establish and nurture relationships with business owners and key decision-makers
  • Qualify prospects and build a robust sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Learn and apply consultative sales techniques with ongoing training and coaching
  • Collaborate with leadership to accelerate company growth and maximize personal performance
