We are seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of electrical engineering experience with a consulting or design-build firm and experience designing electrical systems for facilities such as laboratories, hospitals, manufacturing plants, schools, and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems from concept through construction and project completion.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing electrical systems and equipment.
- Prepare electrical designs and drawings using BIM-based design tools.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other project team members.
- Review designs and technical work for accuracy and quality.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Stay current with electrical codes, industry standards, and new technologies.
- Support construction administration and post-occupancy evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a consulting or design-build firm.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building and electrical codes, NFPA standards, and energy conservation requirements.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PowerTools, or similar engineering design software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage project responsibilities, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Strong work ethic and ability to mentor less experienced team members.
