Our client is seeking a Buyer who combines strong product instincts with analytical skills to build compelling assortments and drive business results. This opportunity is also open to merchants interested in transitioning into buying who bring relevant apparel experience, assortment ownership, and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop buying and assortment strategies that reflect customer preferences, emerging trends, and sales opportunities.
• Evaluate product performance and recommend assortment adjustments.
• Partner with planning and inventory teams on purchasing decisions, inventory levels, pricing, and sell-through.
• Identify opportunities to expand successful products and address underperforming categories.
• Collaborate with product teams to maintain a consistent customer experience.
• Present business insights and product recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant apparel buying or merchandising experience.
• Experience owning a product category, developing assortments, and influencing purchasing decisions.
• Strong understanding of sales performance, inventory productivity, and retail financial metrics.
• A keen eye for product, fashion trends, and customer preferences.
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Location: Columbus, Ohio – candidates interested in relocating are highly encouraged.
