Sushi Chef | Full-Service Restaurant
A high-volume restaurant is seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join its culinary team and deliver fresh, consistently executed sushi in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of proper seafood preparation and handling. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craft while maintaining speed, organization, and high food quality standards.

Sushi Chef Requirements and Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional sushi preparation experience
- Strong knife skills with experience preparing sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls
- Knowledge of proper raw seafood handling, storage, sanitation, and food safety
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency during high-volume service
Sushi Chef Preferred Background and Skills
- Experience in sushi, Asian-inspired, or high-volume full-service restaurants
- Experience breaking down, portioning, and properly storing fresh fish
- Strong understanding of prep, product rotation, inventory, and waste control
- Dependable, team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills
