Staff Accountant Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Solid grasp of GAAP principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines

Staff Accountant (entry to mid-level)

• Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with accounting concepts and financial reporting

Staff Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure proper documentation across multiple companies
• Perform reconciliations for P&L, balance sheet, bank accounts, and fixed assets
• Execute month-end close procedures and support audits and financial reporting
• Prepare various financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making
• For Senior level: lead complex problem-solving, oversee integrations and acquisitions, strengthen internal controls, and provide technical guidance to the accounting team
