Warehouse Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to build and scale a high-performance warehouse operation supporting the manufacturing of large-scale electrical infrastructure and modular data center systems.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role will transform the warehouse from a reactive, parts-finding function into a proactive, data-driven operation that supports production speed, accuracy, and cost control.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator and systems builder who thrives on the warehouse floor, establishes clear standards, and implements structured processes that eliminate production downtime.

This leader will own inventory accuracy, kitting, material flow, logistics, shipping, and receiving while developing a disciplined, high-accountability team capable of supporting rapid manufacturing growth.

Just as important, this is a people-first leadership role. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality while coaching, developing, and growing the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control, to ensure uninterrupted production flow and on-time delivery.
• Establish and maintain ≥98% inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting, ERP/WMS integrity, and rigorous process enforcement.
• Design and implement a proactive kitting system that delivers complete and accurate material kits to the production floor at least 24 hours ahead of build schedules, eliminating line stoppages.
• Standardize warehouse workflows by developing and enforcing SOPs for receiving, staging, storage, picking, and shipping to improve speed, accuracy, and repeatability.
• Create a visual warehouse environment with clear labeling, defined zones, and intuitive organization so parts can be located in under 60 seconds.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and optimize material flow across warehouse, production, quality, and supply chain operations.
• Lead inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring finished goods are packaged, labeled, crated, and shipped within 24 hours of final quality control.
• Partner closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to align material availability with build schedules, anticipate constraints, and resolve issues quickly.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team through hands-on training, cross-training, regular feedback, and clear accountability systems.
• Foster a culture of respect, open communication, teamwork, safety, and accountability through clear expectations, recognition, regular one-on-ones, and employee development opportunities.
• Develop team members into future leads and supervisors through structured coaching and development.
• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards and internal safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field is acceptable; equivalent hands-on experience is strongly preferred and valued.
• 5–8+ years of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in an industrial environment, preferably involving high-part-count or complex assembly operations.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvements that increased inventory accuracy, material flow, warehouse efficiency, or operational performance.
• Experience partnering with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality as a peer to ensure seamless material support and rapid issue resolution.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or M1.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with bar code or QR code scanning systems is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and develop teams while driving accountability and improving workforce performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, collaborate across departments, influence without authority, and communicate effectively from floor associates through executive leadership.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification.
• Experience in electrical equipment, industrial manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments.
• Experience implementing WMS or warehouse digitization initiatives.
