Assistant Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Support the EKM through training and coaching new team members
- Build respectful relationships with the crew – BOH and FOH
- Pay close attention to details in a scratch kitchen environment
- Keep operations running smoothly in a very high-volume environment
- Manage recipe execution, portion sizes, prep lists, and help with scheduling
- Display leadership qualities every shift
Assistant Kitchen Manager Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in a full-service Restaurant AKM or leadership role in a casual or upscale-casual environment
- Must love a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to maintain standards, exceed goals, and build relationships
- Knowledge of completing inventory and ordering
- Strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards is a must
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on work ethic
