Restaurant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a scratch kitchen restaurant
• Strong track record of leading, coaching, and developing teams
• Proficiency in managing P&Ls, labor targets, and COGS
• Ability to maintain high operational and food quality standards

Restaurant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience opening new restaurants or supporting new store launches
• Strong collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Training, and HQ teams
• Familiarity with customer review platforms and reputation management

Restaurant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Hands-on leadership – driving quality, product availability, and guest-ready presentation
• Coach and mentor the team
• Lead performance improvement efforts to enhance Yelp ratings and maintain a standard of excellence
• Own store P&Ls and drive profitability through strategic decision-making and operational rigor
• Implement preventative maintenance and ensure clean, safe environments for guests and staff
• Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to build store traffic and support local initiatives
• Play a key role in new restaurant openings, ensuring operational routines and high standards are in place
