Meetings and Events Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Previous meetings and events experience in an upscale or luxury full-service hotel
  • Strong experience with BEOs, event detailing, banquet operations, and client communication
  • Professional presence with strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex events independently while working effectively across departments
  • Flexible schedule with availability for days, evenings, weekends, and occasional extended event hours; ability to remain on your feet for extended periods

Meetings and Events Manager Responsibilities

  • Plan, detail, coordinate, and execute corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, VIP programs, and special events across multiple venues
  • Review contracts and group files, coordinate room blocks and VIP needs, and create accurate BEOs and Group Resumes
  • Serve as the primary client contact before, during, and after events while anticipating needs and resolving concerns quickly
  • Coordinate with Sales, Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Reservations, Revenue Management, Housekeeping, AV, Spa, Accounting, and other departments
  • Monitor event execution, maintain a visible presence during key moments, and ensure luxury service and brand standards are consistently delivered
  • Identify upselling opportunities, support revenue and forecasting goals, review final billing details, and capture client feedback for future programs
