Quality Technician I – Lake Mills, WI
$24–$28/hour + $2/hour Second-Shift Premium | Monday–Thursday | 4-Day Workweek
Four days on. Three days off. And an extra $2/hour for working second shift.
If you have a sharp eye for detail, solid mechanical aptitude, and enjoy making sure things are built right the first time, this Quality Technician I opportunity in Lake Mills, WI could be a great fit.
You’ll perform inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process—from incoming materials through finished products—while working with blueprints, precision measuring equipment, CMMs, and quality documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to build your quality career in a precision manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Schedule
- $24–$28/hour, depending on experience
- +$2/hour second-shift premium
- Monday–Thursday
- 2:45 PM–12:45 AM
- Three-day weekends every week
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished materials, parts, and components
- Read and follow work instructions, job travelers, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Select and use appropriate gauges, scales, measuring tools, and inspection equipment
- Perform visual inspections for product conformance
- Run CMMs in a production environment
- Verify calibration status of inspection equipment and materials
- Accurately document dimensions, quantities, inspection results, accepted parts, and rejected parts
- Maintain quality records and verify production documentation for compliance
- Work with quality, engineering, and operations teams to resolve quality issues
- Assist with supplier quality and corrective/preventive action initiatives
- Support Lean and 5S initiatives while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills, including decimals
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work effectively under supervision
- Professional, cooperative approach when working with others
Experience That Will Help You Stand Out
- Manufacturing experience within aerospace, medical, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience operating a CMM
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485
