SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT –
Commercial Construction General Contractor | Confidential Employer
Location: South Florida
Salary: $135,000–$165,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits
About the Opportunity
An established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee complex commercial construction projects throughout South Florida.
This leadership role is responsible for directing all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Manage quality control and ensure work meets plans and specifications
- Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate project logistics
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget
- Collaborate with Project Managers on budgets, schedules, and client communications
- Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
- Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience
- Experience with a Commercial General Contractor required
- Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects
- Experience with occupied facilities, institutional, healthcare, higher education, or commercial projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software
- OSHA certification preferred
