A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong setup and programming skills. Candidates may come from either a CNC lathe or CNC mill background, but must be comfortable programming equipment, working with complex prints, and producing tight-tolerance components.

This position is located in Laotto, IN.

CNC Machinist Requirements & Qualifications:

  • CNC lathe or CNC mill machining experience
  • Strong CNC setup and programming experience
  • Ability to edit and troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Strong working knowledge of G-code and M-code
  • Experience with 4-axis CNC machining
  • Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience machining components to 0.00X tolerances
  • Ability to select, install, and adjust tooling and workholding
  • Experience inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and machining troubleshooting skills

Must Haves:

  • CNC lathe OR CNC mill experience
  • Ability to independently set up and program CNC equipment
  • G-code and M-code knowledge
  • 4-axis machining experience
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Experience holding 0.00X tolerances
  • Ability to troubleshoot programs, tooling, setups, and machining issues

CNC Machinist Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Technical degree or certification in CNC machining or a related field
  • Mastercam experience
  • Mazak lathe experience
  • Experience machining complex, custom, or low-volume components
  • Experience optimizing CNC programs, tooling, feeds, speeds, or machining processes
  • Strong dimensional inspection and quality control experience
  • Comfortable working independently from print through completed part
