Requirements & Qualifications:
• Previous experience operating both CNC and manual machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work orders
• Experience programming, editing, and operating CNC controls
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and machine setup
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Experience safely operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment
Must Haves:
• CNC machine setup and programming experience
• Manual machining experience with mills, lathes, grinders, or similar equipment
• Blueprint reading proficiency
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Commitment to workplace safety
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components
• Program, modify, and verify CNC machine instructions as needed
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each production run
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance requirements
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make machine or program adjustments
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in proper working condition
• Move materials and finished components using overhead cranes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures
Preferred Background & Skills:
• Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with multiple CNC control platforms
• Experience machining a variety of metals and materials
• Strong understanding of quality inspection processes
• Knowledge of preventative machine maintenance
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a commitment to producing quality workmanship
