We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a successful, independently owned, high-volume restaurant known for its scratch-made, European-inspired cuisine. Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire all back-of-house operations, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing kitchen culture.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of a scratch-made, European-focused menu while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency.
  • Develop seasonal features and daily specials that complement the restaurant's concept and maximize product utilization.
  • Manage all food purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor food cost, labor cost, waste, and overall kitchen profitability.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff while maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Collaborate with ownership to enhance menu offerings and continually elevate the guest experience.
  • Maintain equipment, organization, and cleanliness throughout all kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high-volume $3 million+, scratch kitchen.
  • Strong background in European cuisine and scratch cooking techniques.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing large back-of-house teams.
  • Expertise in food purchasing, inventory management, scheduling, and controlling food and labor costs.
  • Experience creating seasonal menus and chef specials.
  • Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of P&L management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
