We’re looking for a seasoned Remote Tax Supervisor who’s ready to go beyond the traditional. If you bring strong technical tax expertise, strategic insight, and a passion for innovation, this is your opportunity to help reshape how tax services are delivered in a modern, tech-forward environment.
Tax Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical tax expert for the team
- Review complex returns (1120S, 1065, 1040) for accuracy, compliance, and optimization
- Lead and mentor a small team of tax preparers
- Conduct tax research and create internal best practices
- Collaborate with product and R&D teams on tax modeling and automation
- Validate software accuracy and provide actionable feedback
- Occasionally consult with high-profile or complex clients
Tax Supervisor Requirements:
- 7+ years of tax experience, focused on S-Corps, partnerships, and individuals.
- C-Corps, estate and trust panning, or gifting – Not required, but a plus.
- PE/VC experience – Not required, but a plus.
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- CPA or licensed tax attorney required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting or taxation.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. direct tax law.
- Strong communicator who thrives in a startup environment.
