Multi-Unit Café Manager – Midtown Manhattan, NY

A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced multi-unit café manager to oversee three high-volume locations in Midtown Manhattan. This is an exciting opportunity for an operationally driven leader eager to create consistency, support strong teams, and deliver excellent guest experiences across several vibrant cafés.

Multi-Unit Café Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of multi-unit, district, or area management experience in cafés, coffee shops, bakeries, or fast-casual food service
  • Strong operational mindset and ability to build and sustain scalable systems and standards
  • Thorough knowledge of New York City Department of Health regulations, food safety, and sanitation
  • Demonstrated experience driving operational consistency across multiple locations
  • Solid financial acumen, including labor management, inventory, food cost, and P&L
  • Proven track record in developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel between Midtown locations daily

Multi-Unit Café Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of three café locations to ensure consistent execution and guest satisfaction
  • Create, implement, and evolve operational systems and standard procedures
  • Directly coach and support café managers and shift leaders to foster high-performance teams
  • Ensure full compliance with city health, food safety, and sanitation standards, including proactive preparation for health inspections
  • Analyze sales, labor, and food cost metrics to drive operational improvements
  • Conduct regular audits and execute action plans to elevate performance
  • Collaborate on staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and cost controls
  • Address operational challenges promptly while maintaining a positive work culture
