Project Manager Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee every phase of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Manage projects from entitlement and permitting through construction and final closeout
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project partners
  • Review civil, structural, MEP, and construction plans
  • Oversee estimating, budgeting, contract negotiations, and purchasing
  • Ensure quality control throughout every phase of construction
  • Coordinate permitting, zoning, land disturbance, and regulatory approvals
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, permits, and internal communications
  • Partner closely with Superintendents and Construction Coordinators to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Monitor project costs, construction draws, invoicing, and financial performance
  • Anticipate challenges, identify solutions proactively, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams from project kickoff through completion

Project Manager Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys solving problems, managing multiple priorities, and driving projects to successful completion.

  • Minimum 5 years of Construction Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing subcontractors and vendor relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience using construction management software-Procore, Bluebeam
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed (approximately 20%)
