We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth efforts for a premier resort destination in Central Florida. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive strategic sales initiatives, expand market share, strengthen key client relationships, and position the property for continued success during an exciting period of regional growth and development. The ideal candidate is a proactive hospitality sales professional who thrives on building relationships, generating new business, and developing innovative strategies that maximize revenue across group, corporate, leisure, social, and special event segments.
Director of Sales & Marketing Pre-Requisites & Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably within hospitality, resort, hotel, or destination-based environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success generating leads, cultivating client relationships, negotiating contracts, and closing business.
- Strong understanding of the Central Florida market and a proactive business development mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic sales initiatives.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems, sales reporting platforms, and revenue management tools is preferred.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a proven ability to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
Director of Sales & Marketing Job Responsibilities:
- Drive new business through proactive sales initiatives, prospecting efforts, and market outreach activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, group business, community organizations, and key industry partners.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities while growing existing business segments.
- Create and execute strategic sales and marketing plans designed to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Partner with property leadership to align sales strategies with overall operational and financial objectives.
- Conduct outside sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and property tours to showcase the resort experience and event capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts for meetings, conferences, weddings, golf outings, corporate retreats, and other group events.
- Prepare sales forecasts, revenue reports, market analyses, and budget recommendations to support business planning.
- Represent the property at networking events, industry functions, trade shows, and community engagements to enhance market visibility and brand awareness.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to sales team members while fostering a collaborative, goal-oriented culture.
