Senior Accountant – Albany, GA
Join a dynamic hospitality and entertainment organization operating a trio of vibrant venues at the Flint River Entertainment Complex. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to play a key role ensuring sound financial operations for multiple event-driven properties in southwest Georgia.
Accounting Manager Benefits & Compensation
- Annual base salary of $60,000–$70,000

Accounting Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- High-level proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
Accounting Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in arena or convention center accounting
- Experience supervising or leading others in a finance role
- Familiarity with accounting software, especially NetSuite and Coupa
- Experience collaborating across different levels of management
Accounting Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Finance in daily, monthly, and year-end finance department operations
- Take an active role in ensuring accurate, timely financial statements and reports
- Oversee and review credit card expenses, accounts receivable/payable entries, and cash receipts
- Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Safeguard company assets by monitoring accounting procedures and assisting with audits
- Assist with event-related financial settlements and prepare show income/loss statements
- Help implement and monitor internal controls, compliance, and best practices
- Contribute to the preparation of audit materials and respond to client reporting requests
