We are seeking an experienced and dependable Excavator Operator to join our growing pool construction team. This position plays a critical role in preparing residential and commercial sites for pool installations through safe, precise excavation. The ideal candidate has strong equipment experience, a CDL, and takes pride in quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and related heavy equipment to excavate pool shells, trenches, and foundations according to plans.
- Perform accurate digging around utilities, structures, and property lines in residential and commercial environments.
- Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and layout markings.
- Safely transport equipment between job sites using CDL as required.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines.
- Assist with backfilling, grading, and site restoration as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment.
- Valid CDL (required).
- Experience in residential construction, pool construction, or utility excavation preferred.
- Strong understanding of excavation safety and underground utility awareness.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor.
