We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to accuracy, working both independently and collaboratively to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Staff Accountant Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Prepare and record journal entries and adjusting entries
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Record financial transactions accurately and ensure proper documentation
- Review financial records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, as applicable
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
