Executive Chef – Gatlinburg, TN
An upscale restaurant in the heart of Gatlinburg is seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead its culinary operations. Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an executive chef in an upscale or fine dining setting.
- Proven ability to manage, train, and mentor back-of-house teams
- Skilled in managing food and labor costs to achieve profitability.
- Experience with Toast or similar POS/inventory software.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, humble demeanor.
- Local candidates strongly preferred; no relocation assistance is offered.
Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience at restaurants recognized for excellence (Michelin Bib Gourmand or similar accolades a plus).
- Creative menu development with an appreciation for seasonal, modern cuisine.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and a team-first attitude in a high-expectation environment.
Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead all culinary operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Create innovative, seasonally inspired menus and specials that enhance guest experience.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
- Manage food and labor costs for operational excellence and profitability.
- Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with front-of-house leaders to ensure seamless service.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
