Driver Manager – Marlboro, MD

Driver Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in the transportation or trucking industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Driver Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience managing a fleet of over 30 drivers
- Familiarity with DOT safety laws and regulatory compliance
- Background in conducting performance reviews and interviewing candidates
Driver Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and daily support to a fleet of up to 40 drivers
- Supervise, coach, and train drivers to meet company and customer service expectations
- Monitor and ensure timely, safe deliveries by coordinating schedules and resolving issues
- Conduct interviews, performance reviews, and implement coaching or discipline as needed
- Advise drivers on routing, safety, and compliance with all regulations
- Collaborate with customers to address needs, schedules, and service quality
- Ensure payroll accuracy and support driver retention initiatives
