Supports the Store Manager in daily operations, focusing on staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service compliance. Key duties include managing inventory, scheduling staff, ensuring adherence to strict legal alcohol sales regulations, handling cash, and merchandising to maximize sales
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with state liquor laws, manage inventory (stocking, ordering,, and auditing), and handle daily cash, deposits, and bookkeeping.
- Leadership & Staffing: Supervise, train, and schedule staff, while leading in the manager's absence.
- Customer Service & Merchandising: Maintain a welcoming environment, handle customer service issues, and implement marketing/promotional displays.
- Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and security of the building, including coolers and storage areas.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous retail or liquor store experience, often with a focus on leadership/management.
- Knowledge: Understanding of POS systems, inventory management, and alcohol compliance laws.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Age Requirement: Generally 21+ years of age
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy merchandise (e.g., beer kegs, cases of wine/spirits).
Hourly Pay: $20-22/ hour
