VDC Mechanical Lead – Jacksonville, FL (remote)

A leading construction and engineering organization is seeking a VDC Mechanical Lead to support challenging, large-scale projects for commercial and federal clients. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge BIM technology alongside a collaborative, innovative team. In-person work in Jacksonville, FL is preferred, but remote arrangements will be considered.

VDC Mechanical Lead Benefits & Compensation

VDC Mechanical Lead Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related A/E/C discipline
  • 5+ years of BIM design experience, including immersive design coordination, clash detection, and resolution
  • 5+ years of experience with architecture, engineering, MEP systems, and construction projects
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience using BIM360 / Autodesk Docs
  • Must be able to travel as project needs require
  • Eligibility to pass a drug screening and both standard and Department of Defense background checks

VDC Mechanical Lead Preferred Background & Skills

  • Field construction experience
  • Experience preparing and implementing BIM Standards
  • Background in 3D scan model collaboration

VDC Mechanical Lead Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee BIM production, coordination, and management for all mechanical and plumbing systems on active projects
  • Develop, coordinate, and produce detailed 3D models in collaboration with design consultants, preconstruction teams, construction operations, and external partners
  • Conduct clash detection and facilitate resolution meetings to ensure quality project outcomes
  • Support the implementation and adherence to BIM standards across project teams
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure all BIM requirements and contract standards are met
  • Facilitate clear communication and documentation flow among all project stakeholders
