A growing multi-unit hospitality organization is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to support restaurant operations and corporate leadership. This position will play a key role in employee relations, recruiting, compliance, training, and HR operations while partnering closely with field leadership to drive a positive employee experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and has a strong background supporting hospitality or restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with restaurant managers and leadership teams on employee relations matters, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly and management positions.
- Lead onboarding and new hire orientation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California labor regulations.
- Assist with leave administration, workers' compensation, accommodations, and HR policy implementation.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and training initiatives.
- Maintain HR records, reporting, and HRIS data integrity.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee-related matters.
- Travel to restaurant locations as needed to support operations and team members.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
- 3+ years of HR experience supporting hospitality, restaurant, food service, or multi-unit operations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting multiple locations and field-based teams.
- Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Multi-unit restaurant.
- Fast Casual, Casual Dining.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- High-volume recruiting and workforce management.
