Position Overview

The Executive Chef serves as the culinary leader of the restaurant, responsible for maintaining exceptional food quality, operational excellence, and team performance. This role ensures consistency in execution, drives kitchen efficiency, and develops a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient and consistent service.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and execution.
  • Ensure recipes, procedures, and culinary standards are followed consistently.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, food costs, and overall kitchen financial performance.
  • Analyze operational metrics and proactively address opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to drive operational success and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
  • Lead rollouts of new menu items, initiatives, and operational programs.
  • Conduct informative and engaging daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, labor controls, and cost management.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and coaching to support individual and team growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent culinary leadership role
  • Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience developing and mentoring hourly team members
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong financial acumen, including food cost, labor management, and budgeting experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and sense of urgency

Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000 annually, plus potential performance-based incentives.
