Dining Room Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience, ideally in upscale or fast-casual concepts
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proven success in high-volume, guest-focused environments
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays

Dining Room Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service and elevated guest experience
  • Hire, train, and mentor a dynamic front-of-house team
  • Oversee scheduling and staffing to meet service demands
  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership to coordinate smooth service flow
  • Monitor labor costs, operational efficiency, and drive guest retention initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
