An established hospitality group is seeking a Director of Facilities to guide the maintenance and operational excellence of its premier resort, including a large-scale central laundry operation. This is a leadership opportunity to make a lasting impact on guest experience, staff safety, and property preservation in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

Director of Facilities Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a hospitality or resort setting
  • Strong expertise in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to mentor and grow a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid knowledge of safety standards and facilities regulations
  • Technical certifications or a degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred

Director of Facilities Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with historic property management or preservation
  • Background in managing large-scale laundry operations or similar industrial facilities
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in facility operations

Director of Facilities Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and operations for all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems across resort facilities, including the historic mansion and central laundry
  • Lead, train, and develop the Engineering Department team to ensure exceptional performance and growth
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for equipment, guest areas, and support spaces
  • Manage work orders, follow up on completion, and uphold quality and safety standards
  • Direct capital improvement projects and vendor relationships, including contract negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor budgets, utility consumption, and create sustainability and cost-saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership and event teams to support guest programs and special events with operational excellence
