A highly respected and rapidly growing California plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a Post-Settlement / Transactional Associate Attorney to join its collaborative legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys the transactional and settlement side of complex employment litigation and wants to play a key role in the successful execution of class action settlements.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside accomplished trial attorneys while managing the critical legal processes that occur after settlement, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and other legal contracts
- Prepare motions and supporting documents related to class action settlement approvals
- Collaborate with settlement administrators to facilitate efficient and compliant settlement administration
- Draft and refine class notices, claim forms, and related settlement communications
- Monitor settlement administration activities to ensure compliance with court orders and legal requirements
- Coordinate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders throughout the settlement process
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during settlement implementation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of employment law experience
- Experience handling post-settlement matters, class action settlements, or related transactional legal work preferred
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
Total compensation range: $140,000 – $200,000 annually, including base salary and performance-based incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
